Adele took to the Grammys stage to perform her track "All I Ask" and the live rendition was far from her best. The microphone cut out on the broadcast for a few seconds early on in the performance, and throughout, the singer didn't quite sound like Adele usually does.
CBS has responded with a spokesperson confirming that there was a five-to-eight second technical issue with the broadcast, that was outside the network's control.
Adele has also now responded, taking to Twitter:
The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that's what the guitar sound was. It made it sound out of tune. Shit happens. X— Adele (@Adele) February 16, 2016
We still love you Adele! And this tweet below about the situation makes us love you even more!
Because of it though... I'm treating myself to an in n out. So maybe it was worth it.— Adele (@Adele) February 16, 2016
