Kit Harington checked into rehab following Game of Thrones finale filming

It appears that no one was was hit as hard by Game of Thrones coming to an end more than Kit Harington who has checked himself into a rehab center according to TMZ.

The actor, known primarily for his role as Jon Snow on Game of Thrones has entered a luxury Connecticut facility for a mental health retreat just weeks before the finale on May 19th for stress, exhaustion and alcohol abuse.

According to media outlet, The Post, his wife and fellow Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie has been very supportive and understanding of Kit's decision to get professional help.

This news comes shortly after a clip from the Game of Thrones behind-the-scenes documentary went viral for Harrington's emotional reaction to the finale plot twist.

The clip shows Harrington in shock as he listens to the final script reading as the fate of his and Emilia Clarke's characters are revealed. 

TMZ reports that Kit "has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues" according to Kit's Representation, however there has been no word yet on when he will be released.
