"Do you know what day of the week it is?" / "Like a Friday or something?" / "It's a Sunday, it's literally a Sunday!" / *Laughs*

Tate McRae may not know what day of the week it is, but that's what happens when you become a 19-year-old global pop sensation.

The Canadian singer, songwriter (and dancer) had one of the biggest break-out hits of last year with 'You Broke Me First' and was the youngest musician featured on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list for 2021.

Cam from the ZM Late Show caught up with Tate before her sold out show in Auckland, NZ.

She might have just released her album I Used To Think I Could Fly but she told Cam that she's already fizzing to get back in the studio.

"The last time I was in the studio was months and months ago. It would be like if you write in your dairy a lot and you haven't written in your dairy for a year. I just have a lot to talk about!"

Even though it doesn't exist yet, we already know it's gonna have multiple platinum hits.

It's no secret that Tate is a massive fan of Taylor Swift (I mean, aren't we all), and last week Taylor herself commented on one of her TikToks.

When Cam asked her about it, she said how "crazy" it was and that she was in a restaurant bathroom when she found out. She also revealed that she almost deleted the video, we're so glad she didn't!

The pair also chatted about if she'd be down to collab with Mimi Webb, the real meaning behind her viral hit 'Go Away' and her dream festival lineup.

If you missed out on Tate's show don't worry... she promised to come back and see us soon!
