Our fave plant-loving bestie Luca George has dropped another bop!
Rising NZ artist Luca George has returned with new single ‘Ruin My Life’.
Perfectly encapsulating youthful relationship angst, the tale of unrequited love is a rush of bouncy vocals and irresistible pop hooks. Directed by Sam Templeton, the accompanying video is also out now. Watch below!
Of the release, Luca shared, “I wrote this song about a straight guy that I kinda fell for. I have a tendency to fall for the boys I can’t have. To complicate this more, our lives intertwine regularly. He has no idea about the feelings I have about him and he crosses the line often which gives me this false sense of hope.”
In July last year, Luca shared his debut single ‘Lonely Tonight’, which has since scored over 200K combined streams (and counting), as well as the infectious Eric J (Flume, Ruel, Chet Faker) collaboration 'Somebody New'. He's been tipped as an artist to watch by Remix Magazine and profiled wearing Prada for Cool Pretty Cool.
A multi-talented creative, Luca has a bold sense of fashion, dabbles in photography and is an avid plant lover. He created his side-hustle @theindoorforest, an indoor plant business where he sells rare and exotic plants, just over 5 years ago to help fund his music career. He is also starring in a 9 minute short film for NZ Tourism called WAY SOUTH.
