Ginny Blackmore is a singer who writes songs so searing they hit your soul instantly. Her debut single, "Bones," written in a painful moment of her love life, drastically altered Blackmore's journey, transforming a 27-year old struggling singer and songwriter from Auckland, New Zealand, into one of Epic Records' most captivating pop newcomers. "The music is as honest as I could make it," she says. "It's my perspective on life. I really hope people can hear themselves in it somewhere. That's what I care about."
“Under My Feet” was written by Blackmore along with Al Shux, who’s also behind Lianne La Havas’ “What You Don’t Do” [Nonesuch], Kwabs’ “Saved” [Atlantic] and Ella Henderson’s “Mirror Man” [Syco Music]. It's out October 9th.
Blackmore has penned songs for Christina Aguilera (“Sing My Song”), Nicole Scherzinger (“Get ‘Em Ready for It”), Adam Lambert (“By The Rules”) and Katharine McPhee (“Love Strikes”).
Her first studio collection “Over the Moon” boasts further alliances with Aeon “Step” Manahan (Alexandra Burke, Stan Walker), Alan Nglish (Taio Cruz, CeeLo Green) and Rob Wells (Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber).
